I feel like a classy freakin' lady in this outfit. I was a little unsure of the dress when I first got it (Stitch Fix! Heyyoo!) because I thought it was too "curve hugging" around my waist. Mama's got them hips, ya know? But after wearing it out and about (and letting the photos sit in upload-purgatory for a few days), I now love it. I feel classy and sexy and happy to show off those hips. I felt so dressed up, but also perfectly casual. I really dig that melding of "appropriate" style situations. Did that sentence even make sense? haha Back to the dress - it's insanely well made and the perfect thickness. I'm all for lightweight and flowy dresses for the humid Summer, but I really really love a dress with some weight in the fabric. Something about the structure of this dress makes it feel more elegant (but not so heavy that it's hot and suffocating). I also really dig the pleats at the top of the bust. If you are a Stitch Fix user (or you want to sign up!), you should totally request this dress if they have it. Ugh I love it so much.
Have you noticed how crazy I am over statement necklaces as of late? I know, just call me Kim Zolciak because I am oh so ~*Tardy to the Party but whatever. I'm digging them! Of course I couldn't wait to whip out this little black and gold number (also from Stitch Fix... surprise surprise! It's one of their pieces in collaboration with Bauble Bar!) and what better time to do it than this almost-all-black outfit?!

This weekend we decided to load up and head back over to the Pink Cadillac Drive-In (for the third or fourth time this season!) to see Despicable Me 2 and Man of Steel. DM2 was hilarious and adorable in every way. I'm not a big Superman gal (I've never seen any of the other movies) and I didn't watch the first half-hour of MoS, but the rest of it wasn't too bad. I'm more of an Iron Man girl honestly. I'm really bummed that the drive-in will most likely be shutting down for good next month. Apparently they can't afford the new digital projectors. I grew up going to that drive-in so it's just super heartbreaking. I'm glad we've been able to go so often lately. Toby totally loves it. Where else can you see 2 brand new movies for $7?! Insanity! If you've got a drive-in nearby, head on out, snag you some tickets and a bucket of popcorn. Help support the old Americana businesses alive. They're such a special slice of history!

Yesterday Mike and I finally made some adult decisions... and by adult decisions I mean we finally hung some artwork in our house. I've tip-toed around hanging prints and photos for nearly five months now and that's just ridiculous. I act like one little hole in the wall is going to shift Earth's gravity haha I'm honestly quite stoked on how much we managed to get accomplished in the "hanging stuff" department. The living room is just one or two frames shy of being complete, and the hallway is well on it's way! We hung some of our large Anderson Design Co. "Nashville" prints in Toby's room, too. This week (hopefully today!) we're going to build a small "desk" of sorts to put on one side of our kitchen and use as a workstation for Honeybean. We're whipping up a couple dozen jewelry pieces to stock up in a new little cafe/boutique in Nashville this weekend. I'll be sure to share more info about that once we get it set up!
Here's to making this week the most productive one yet! I'm ready to breeze through these last 5 days and then spend 8 days with my toes in the sand! Huzzah! Happy Monday!

PS; It's been a long time since I've done an actual Stitch Fix "Haul" recap. Are any of y'all interested in seeing what I receive in my boxes (so you can maybe request them in yours)?! I was considering doing a "2 or 3 in 1" type post since I get a box every ~2 weeks (maybe a once per month post?). Just a thought! Let me know what ya think!
