I originally had another post slated for today, but honestly, what better time to share a citrus themed outfit than when one is vacationing in Florida?! I think going orange pickin' would be so fun, don't you? Mike and I were able to sneak away to a local coffee shop for a couple of hours yesterday and we maybe took advantage of having the Jeep, too. We hit a few different thrift shops and boutiques, and tried to make the most of what little "us" time we've had thus far. Today it's supposed to be super sunny so I think we might hit up a few different beaches, and maybe even the water park in Foley. We know Toby will be in hog heaven! It's hard not to focus on how quickly our time is passing here. We're vacationing for 8 full days (!!!) but after the first 24 hours I instantly flip over into "Oh no! It's going to end soon!" mode. It's such a wasteful way to spend my time, I know. I just can't help it! I'm trying to relish in the moment and enjoy each and every adventure. I'm also totally hoping for another crystal clear day like Sunday. Ugh, the sky was so so blue! It's been a bit overcast otherwise, but luckily not too rainy. -- Totally unrelated to any of the above paragraph, but peep this next photo! It cracks me up! I never even felt my dress blow up but Mike caught it at the perfect time. Hilarious!
This dress is truly a favorite of mine. I wear it all the time despite it only being featured on the blog once before (I'm not exactly handy at remixing! I prefer to wear the same thing over and over...) I received this cardigan in a recent Stitch Fix package (also worn here!) and it was the perfect match for this dress and Kate Spade clutch (also worn here)! I had on my brown MIA Jukebox wedges (surprise, surprise!) but Mike thought the yellow shoes would be perfect. He's kind of a smart cookie, right? I love the orange and yellow color palette. It's so very Summer! My necklace is from Stitch Fix (I also wore it here!) and I can't get enough of it. They're little bumblebees! This clutch is such a fun addition to any outfit. I know I said it last time I wore it, but I'm totally lusting after the full size purse version after receiving this one.
I'm excited to announce that I'm one of the official bloggers (err, correspondents) for the WWDMAGIC tradeshow this year! I submitted my PinUp Culture blog post for consideration, and then received the awesome invitation yesterday at lunch. I'll be in Las Vegas August 18-22nd for the MAGIC tradeshow! I'm totally pumped since I've never been to anything quite like it. So SO many of my very favorite brands/designers are showcasing their new collections and I could just about die! Such a fun opportunity and I can't wait to share it all with you! I hope you'll find it as exciting as I do :)
Also, while I'm on the subject of being totally grateful for rad things in life: Thank you for all of your kind comments, emails, tweets, etc. Even if you just say hey or "nice dress!' - those little things mean a lot to me. It's so flattering to know so many of you take time out of your day to drop by. I know some of you are just readers and never really comment, and that's totally cool, too!
