If I had to pick one outfit that was my absolute, tried and true, can't be beat, favorite... it'd be this one. There's something so casual yet put together about a simple white lace dress and some "rustic" add ons. You're probably getting so sick of seeing this cardigan, but I just can't take it off! It's SO perfect! It was the perfect camoflague for our afternoon spent out on a backroad in the boonies. We picked up Toby from school and then ventured out to some country roads to take Toby on a little photography "lesson." That kid loves cameras (I guess he gets it naturally!) and we wanted to treat him to a fun little adventure. He had a blast taking photos of us and the leaves with our Instax 210 Wide camera. He was in hog heaven. I love that we get to share those little moments with him.

I had a pretty legit learning lesson this week. Our iPad went MIA at some point early last week and we didn't notice for several days. Normally Toby gets to earn iPad time later in the day and he uses it to play games or watch a little Netflix before bath time. We had the iPad over at my parents' house for a bit, then I told Mike to bring it home one evening he was over there working. He swore he brought it home, but I didn't remember seeing it. We tore our house apart and even had my mom scour her house for the dang thing. It was nowhere to be found. We were positively sick over it because hello! They're not cheap! We can't/won't just go out and buy a new one, ya know? The only thing we could think of is that Mike left it in his truck out front, and it had been chilling because he's got a flat tire. We have been driving my Xterra for the past week+. We're pretty bad about not locking his truck, but we live in such a small, secluded area we never thought much of it. We came to the conclusion it was probably just lifted from our truck during the night or when we weren't home. It was a tough pill to swallow because ultimately the blame fell on us for being so careless with our possessions. We tried to get over it. Yesterday morning we were getting ready to file a police report just so they'd have the serial number on file in case it got pawned in the area. As we were getting our stuff together Mike lifted up Toby's suitcase to move it and felt something inside. He realized he hadn't seen Jumpy (Toby's stuffed kangaroo that he has to have at all times) in a while and figured it was in there. Lo and behold both Jumpy and the iPad were in his suitcase. It's an irrelevant/long story but the learning lesson: I shouldn't be so quick to pass the blame off onto someone else. Toby was so helpful and invested in the search - he just simply didn't remember he put it there. I guess instead of being so quick to blame someone (anyone!), I should first remember that we have a 4 year old haha Luckily we immediately installed the Find My iPhone(Pad) and now all is well in the world! We didn't even have to file that report. Hopefully we can avoid that stress in the future. Phew! Note to all of you: go install that on all of your Apple devices!

Today we're working on photographing some really fun content for the blog! Tomorrow I have a fun little announcement to share so I hope y'all will drop by and see the unveiling! We're also working on some delicious cold weather cocktails and Holiday-themed posts. It's so crazy that it's November and we're already eyeball deep in Christmas stuff. Sometimes it's hard to be a "good" blogger and plan way ahead. Oftentimes I don't end up doing even half of the content I had hoped to because these holidays sneak up so quickly. I guess those "good" bloggers operate like magazines and do everything months ahead of time, yea? Maybe that'll be a new years resolution or something... look ahead and be proactive! Right now I'm just looking forward to our trek to the town over to enjoy a nice, productive day at a coffee shop. Our tiny little town doesn't even have one of those! Crazy, right? There are some definite perks to living in the boonies... coffee shops just aren't one of them! Happy Tuesday, friends.

PS: I know it's hard to see, but I'm wearing my septum ring down for the first time in *years* haha I swapped out the horseshoe I've had in it since I was 16 (holy 9.5+ years ago!) and opted for a seamless clicker. It feels so new and weird despite having it for a decade haha!
