// A Little Quiz Meme

I love little quizzes like this. I always did them on Myspace (I know!) and even on LiveJournal. I love reading them, no matter who fills them out. I feel like it's such a fun and silly way to get to know someone. Roxy did a blogger award/meme thing on her blog a while back and I just lifted some of the questions to make a blog post. I was hoping some of you would be fans of them too and then post it on your own blogs (and drop me a link so I can read!) Happy Tuesday! xo

1. What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

It's usually straight to the coffee pot for me. If I get up at the same time as Mike (6:30am), I'll make the coffee. If I'm being a lazybones and waiting for him to get out of the shower, I usually wake up just in time to snag a cup from a freshly brewed pot. He's an awful sweet husband to let me sleep in if I want to.

2. What is the 3rd picture on your phone? Share it! 

One of my all time favorite pictures ever: the one that Susannah and Chris snapped when Mike proposed to me in Wilmington, NC in 2011. I cherish this photo so much! It was a pretty magical night and I think it only fueled my obsession with twinklelights.

3. What TV show are you most excited about returning this Fall?

Oh gosh, there's too many to name (and some that have already come back)! Sons of Anarchy, White Collar, Parks and Recreation, The Mindy Project, Shameless...

4. What is something really popular that you secretly (or not so secretly) loathe?

The Walking Dead - okay, so in my defense, I just never "got into it." Mike loves it, but I just can't. I bet 90% of my readers now hate me haha!

5. Do you have any pets? Tell us about them! Bonus points for pictures.

Georgia Sue - 4 year old English Bulldog. AKA my "baked potato"

Pipkin LaRue - 3 year old French Bulldog. AKA my "French croissant"

Enid - a sassy Maine Coon who only loves me

Tater Tot - an orange tabby that is the most affectionate cat ever

(and you know, Mama Kitty and her five offspring... yow!)

6. If you could put together one outfit that represents you perfectly, what would it be?

This one's easy! I have a staple uniform (which I'm sure you've noticed, right? ha!) of a fit and flare dress, cardigan and clunky wedges. Bonus points if the dress is novelty print!

7. What is your favorite adult beverage?

New Old Lady! So much so I have a tattoo of it haha (2 parts Crown Royal whiskey, plus 1 part peach schnapps, then a splash of sweet n' sour! If I'm not in the mood for that or am drinking at home, I usually opt for St-Germain and champagne.

8. What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

I listen to New Found Glory's "Sticks and Stones" album almost every single time I'm in the car alone. It doesn't happen often, but I guarantee I'll listen to it at least once during my drive! No shame for the pop punk.

9. What are 3 positive words to describe you?

Positive, motivated and sassy.

10. What is your favorite Friday afternoon/evening activity?

All of my weekdays tend to run together. Sometimes weekends, too. I don't really differentiate based on the day of the week. I'd say my favorite part is finally logging off of the work computer and shutting it down for the weekend. Then I get to enjoy Netflix for a little outing with my boys. It's the simple things.

11. A day in the life: What does you typical day look like?

Usually I wake up at 6:30am (or 7:06am if I'm being difficult) and then get Toby dressed for school while Mike packs his lunch. We sign Toby into school at 7:30am and come home to let the dogs out. After that I sit down with a cup of coffee and either blog for the day or work on sign orders. I try to tackle my to do list as early in the day as possible so I can spend the rest of the day cleaning the house or running errands. We pick up Toby from school at 2:30 and then spend the rest of the day playing, working in his workbook, making dinner, and getting him bathed. He goes to bed at 8:30 and then Mike and I usually hang out and watch TV or a movie together. 

12. If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?

Quintana Roo, Mexico (on the coast). Cool, sandy beaches. Crystal clear water. Low cost of living. Snorkeling every day. Fresh salsa always. Learning Spanish.

13. You've got a whole day to yourself...what will you do?

I'd probably start by sleeping in until 8:30am, then taking a hot shower while singing along to NFG. I'd drink coffee on my front porch and decide what I needed to accomplish for the day. Then most likely I'd avoid that list all together and just mega marathon something on Netflix while taking naps intermittently. I'd probably nap on the hammock outside, too. Then I'd take a hot bubble bath with a glass of wine and peruse Pinterest on the iPad. I'd sneak in a romantic comedy or two and then peace out for the night. It's totally sad how perfect that sounds... haha!

14. Dream job?

Owning my own brick and mortar storefront and doing Him and Honey full-time. That's the dream we're working on!

15. Least favorite chore?

Washing the dishes. UGHHHHH.

16. When do you most feel like a rock star?

When I cross over every. last. thing. on my To Do list. Huzzah!

17. What is something you are currently trying to improve within yourself?

My project follow-through. I'm super easily excited and inspired, and I love starting new projects. I can jump in without even thinking twice. But my follow-through could use some honing. I'm a classic Aries. I love the thrill of new and exciting ventures, but sometimes I grow bored and restless. I'm trying!
